Australian parliaments – still not family friendly

n 1982 women were finally appearing in Australian parliaments. They were mainly destined for the 'nurturing' portfolios and committees, such as those dealing with education, health and welfare. The advent of a female Prime Minister was still a long way off, despite my optimistic view at the time.
