The impacts of cartoons on children

I agree with Dr Gutlove's view on the impacts of cartoons on world peace [When cartoons hindered world peace, Vol 46 No 4, p32].

However, kids TV shows are more sensible in Australia, especially for toddlers.

For example, during 2012-13, ABC4kids showed cartoons that mostly had socially beneficial messages.

But, in Bangladesh, particularly in the cartoon channels, most of the cartoons are as Dr Gutlove described "idea of enemies" and "incapable of being reasoned with".

I often don't allow my children to watch these cartoons.
