Q&A with actor Alan Alda

Actor ALAN ALDA has graced stages and TV screens for six decades, starring in the likes of M*A*S*H and The West Wing, among others.

However, communicating science to the wider public is his major passion and this led him to create the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University in the US.

The Alda Center has linked up with the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at ANU with the aim of helping promote a wider understanding of science and to help scientists better communicate their work.

Alda visited ANU to launch the partnership and open a new home for CPAS.

He spoke to RICHARD FOX about his fascination for all things science and you watch this in the video below. You can also listen to the chat in full through the Soundcloud link on the right of this page.
