Snapping around the world
The ANU Reporter Photography Awards invited members of the University community to send in stunning photos from their trips around the world.
ANU photographer Stuart Hay studied all the entries and picked an image by Stephen Rowe of the village of Riomaggiore in Cinque Terre, Italy, as the winner.
Stephen, who works in the Alumni Relations and Philanthropy unit, visited France and the United States as well as Italy during his travels.
He wins a $500 photography gift card to help him take even more excellent photos.
Stuart Hay said the winning entry showed a stunning juxtaposition between human structure and environment.
“Stephen has shown good control of camera settings, lighting and composition,” he said.
He nominated two other photos for an honourable mention: Sunset through steel by Eman Nassim Ali and Matterhorn by Maeve Clark.
Thanks to everyone who sent in photos – keep snapping and enjoy your next trip.
