Frontier and centre

ANU will establish a new centre that brings physicists and astronomers together to explore the Universe’s secrets hidden in its darkest depths. Will Wright reports.

When physics professors David McClelland and Susan Scott embarked on their career paths, no lights guided the way and success was not guaranteed in their lifetimes. They wanted to explore the darkest parts of the Universe, where it would be impossible to see through any kind of telescope.
