Sinan Brown is a Research Assistant at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health and a member of the E-Cigarette Expert Team.
Sinan holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Master of Public Health.
Sinan’s interest and expertise lies in the health effects of electronic cigarettes. Sinan is involved at each stage of the research process, including but not limited to: study design; submitting data requests; screening, extracting and summarising data; drafting and formatting manuscripts; quality assessment; referencing; and meeting web accessibility guidelines. He has been part of work commissioned by the Australian Department of Health, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Heart Foundation.
In addition to his research, Sinan is a casual sessional academic for ‘Fundamentals of Epidemiology’, an introductory course for epidemiological concepts. He was one of the first members of ACT Health’s COVID-19 contact tracing team, and has previously worked in health care roles at the Canberra Hospital and Calvary Public Hospital Bruce.
