Professor Raghbendra Jha is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics within the Crawford School of Public Policy.
Professor Jha is Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation and specialises in development economics, macroeconomics, and public economics.
He is on editorial boards of major economics journals and has consulted widely for organisations including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNECA, UNRISD, WIDER, DFID, and IFAD.
He has published extensively with leading publishers in key areas of economics. His research has been funded by several organisations including the MacArthur Foundation, DFID, IFAD, Australian Research Council and AusAID, among several others. His areas of research interest include food security, economic and social history of India and fiscal federalism in India.
