Reimagining Union Court
The Union Court area is at the heart of the ANU campus. On some days it's the life and soul of the University but sometimes it's a windswept empty space.
ANU is currently considering revitalising the area between Childers Street and Sullivans Creek, including the University Avenue precinct.
The aim is to create a new hub for the ANU community, including living, learning, cultural and social facilities.
The initial master plan proposals, shown here, have been drawn up as a result of consultations with more than 1,400 people.
A new university library is at the heart of the plan.
Parts of the proposals include a new innovation centre, a riverside amphitheatre, new teaching facilities and a secret garden.
