Professor Andrew Norton is Professor in the Practice of Higher Education Policy at the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods.
Professor Norton has been working in higher education policy since the late 1990s. Prior to joining ANU he was the Higher Education Program Director at the Grattan Institute. He has also worked as a ministerial adviser on higher education and a university policy adviser. In 2013-14 he was the co-author of a government-commissioned review of the demand driven student funding system.
His interests include student funding, student enrolment trends, graduate outcomes, international education, research funding and higher education regulation.
