Professor Andrew Podger is an Honorary Professor of Public Policy in the Research School of Social Sciences, with expertise in public administration, the public service, and social policy (including retirement incomes).

Professor Podgers has been with ANU since 2005. He was previously a career public servant, including Public Service Commissioner (2002-2004), Secretary of the Department of Health and Aged Care (1996-2002), and Secretary of the Department of Housing and Regional Development (1994-1996).
