Associate Professor David Berle is an experienced clinical psychologist and academic at the ANU School of Medicine and Psychology.
Associate Professor Berle has expertise in the areas of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
His research has three themes: memory processes and PTSD (particularly the nature of intrusive memories and nightmares following traumatic experiences), the prospective course of PTSD and the factors which determine favourable adjustment to exposure to traumatic experiences, and understanding adjustment to traumatic experiences in occupational contexts and among displaced populations.
