Associate Professor Dougald O’Reilly is a Researcher and lectures in archaeology in the ANU School of Archaeology and Anthropology.

As an archaeologist who specialises in Southeast Asia, he has worked on Iron Age sites in Thailand and Cambodia and is currently researching the Plain of Jars in Laos.

Associate Professor O’Reilly is also a keen advocate of heritage preservation and is founder and director of the NGO Heritage Watch International dedicated to the preservation of Cambodia’s cultural heritage.
