Dr Elise Stephenson is a Research Fellow at the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at ANU and a Fellow at the ANU National Security College.

Elise is a 2022 Fulbright Scholar and Top 50 Most Outstanding LGBTIQ+ Leaders by Google, Deloitte and Energy Australia.

Her expertise is sought in: women’s leadership; gender in international affairs, diplomacy, national security and outer space; public diplomacy and foreign policy; entrepreneurship and social enterprise; gender equality; LGBTI+ inclusion and rights; intersectional, feminist climate justice and climate action.

Elise is a regular contributor to TV, radio and various academic and non-academic publications, including the Lowy Institute, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Broad Agenda, and the Australian Journal of International Affairs.
