Dr Francis Markham is a Research Fellow at the ANU Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research.

Dr Markham is an economic geographer working on Indigenous public policy issues. His recent work has focused on remote Indigenous employment and social security, including CDP and CDEP, and Indigenous land restitution under regimes of land rights and native title.

He researches and teaches Indigenous public policy more broadly, including work on major public policy initiatives like Closing the Gap and the proposed First Nations Voice to Parliament.
