Dr Hayley Henderson is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Infrastructure in Society within the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific.

Dr Henderson’s expertise is in the area of urban planning and governance, with a particular focus on the social dimensions of sustainable development, infrastructure, and water management.

She is currently a co-chief investigator on an ARC-funded project examining social risk and major infrastructure in Australia and a researcher on an international collaboration involving co-production of Nature-based Solutions across seven European and South American cities funded via the EU Horizon 2020 program.

Moreover, she is a researcher on a project funded by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy on the costs and benefits of upscaling Blue Green Infrastructure based on a pilot project in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr Henderson is also studying how cultural diversity in Australian cities is expanding; and the dynamics of collaboration in highly diverse communities undergoing urban revitalisation (following a detailed study of Collaborative Governance in Revitalising Central Dandenong, 2015-2019).
