Professor Kenneth Lampl is the Convenor of Composition for Film and Video Games in the ANU School of Music.

Professor Lampl received his D.M.A. in music composition from the Juilliard School of Music and was a student of John Williams. As a composer of film music Kenneth Lampl has scored over 100 films.

As an orchestral composer, arranger and conductor he has written orchestral arrangements for the American rock band Foreigner’s latest record Foreigner and the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, which hit #1 on Billboard Magazine Classical Charts for seven weeks. In addition, he conducted the Australian tour. He also composed orchestral music for other bands.

Professor Lampl is also the author of Film Music: the Basicis published by Routledge, Taylor and Francis. His areas of expertise include film and video game music, music production, popular music and music technology.
