Mark Chou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Policy and Governance at the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy.

Associate Professor Chou’s main research interests includes democratic theory and governance, local politics and government, political participation, and comparative political theory. He has published several books, and has extensive media experience.

Trained as a political scientist and lawyer, Mark holds degrees from the Australian National University and the University of Queensland, which awarded him his PhD in 2010. He is a former Vice President of the Australian Political Studies Association.
