Professor Michael Sherburn is a Professor of Chemistry at the Australian National University.
Professor Sherburn is internationally recognised for his contributions to the design and synthesis of complex organic molecules.
His research focuses on the discovery of new chemical reactions and strategies for the efficient assembly of polycyclic and dendralene-based molecular architectures, with applications across natural product synthesis and materials science.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and an active member of the Australian Research Council’s College of Experts, he has published extensively in leading international journals and is widely regarded for advancing both the science and pedagogy of synthetic organic chemistry.
