Noelia Martínez is a postdoctoral researcher at the Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre at the ANU Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Noelia’s primary areas of interest are astronomical and space instrumentation, focusing on the adaptive optics and laser systems technologies for space situational awareness, astronomy, and laser communications.
She was awarded her PhD by the University of La Laguna, Canary Islands (Spain) in September 2019, on the topic “Adaptive Optics for Free Space Optical Communications and generation of Laser Guide Stars”.
Prior to starting her career in academia, Noelia was employed by the European Space Agency (Netherlands) in the Young Graduate Trainee program, and by the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (Spain) as Electronics Engineer.
