Dr Priya Dev is an applied mathematician and entrepreneur at the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics.

Priya is focused on developing high-impact and commercially viable research outcomes. In 2012 after completing her PhD in mathematics (Probability Theory applied to finance), Priya developed a patent-pending queuing system that underpinned her first technology start-up, Qhopper. Priya exited the start-up and the technology continues to be used to help the hospitality industry process millions in transactions per year.

Today, Priya’s research and commercial interests are focused on blockchain applications that facilitate a transparent financial system and efficient management and disclosure of Environmental Social Governance data that allows capital markets to collaborate and achieve net-0 goals.
