Professor Ross Maller is an Emeritus Professor with the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics.
Professor Maller has held a variety of positions relating to probability, statistics and financial and actuarial mathematics. From 1968 to 1988, he was a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation).
At the University of Western Australia, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (1988-1999) and a Professor of Quantitative Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance (1999-2003). During this time, Professor Maller also spent a period of time at the University of Manchester, UK, as a Professorial Research Fellow. In 2003, he moved to the Australian National University (ANU), where he was a Professor of Financial Mathematics, jointly with the Centre for Mathematical Analysis before taking up his present position.
