Tom Worthington is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the ANU School of Computing and a member of the ANU Institute for Climate Energy and Disaster Solutions.
Tom teaches and researchers the ethics of computing, IT for sustainability, and project management. Previously, he worked on IT policy for the Australian Government, in the Department of Defense and in 1999 was elected a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society for his contribution to the development of public Internet policy.
He is an a certified professional member of the Australian Computer Society, a Past President, and Honorary Life Member, as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Tom has a Masters of Education (specialising in Distance Education) from Athabasca University, and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from ANU.
