Associate Professor Joan Licata is a Researcher at the ANU Mathematical Sciences Institute.

Her primary research area is low-dimensional topology, with a focus on knot theory, three-manifolds, and contact geometry. In additional to lecturing and supervising research students, Dr Licata has convened the Honours specialisation in mathematics since 2014.
